100% Acrylics Outshine PVA Latex

Currently completing a living room and upper/lower hallway

in North Etobicoke and once again we are amazed at the

application/performance of the new CIL Realife

Eggshell/Ultra Matte line of products !

The living room in this residence has some challenges

on the plaster walls and the choice of ultra-matte

for the living room sheen has completely transformed

the walls into perfection.

Colour choices were Miniature Rose and Simply Taupe

off the ICI Master Palette for 2010.

The 100% Acrylic resin is far superior to a regular

polyvinyl acrylic product and flows, levels and

dries out to a perfect sheen every time - something

you don't always get when using a PVA latex.

The difference between an excellent paint and an average

one is about 2-5 cents per sq/ft2.

When painting your home, it isn't the product that costs

the most, its the time and labour that you put into a

project - if you make the right choice it makes it much

easier over the long term.

Hallways and Heights

People often ask if we charge a certain price for heights work

in large hallways with vaulted ceilings - the answer is both

yes and also no....confused yet ? Let's explain - - -

We are accustomed to doing high work and this does not

cost extra as a general rule. However, if we need to build

special planking or scaffolding or need to rent scaffolding

we will build this into a fair and competitive price. Keep in mind

that heights work is done slowly and with great care as we have

a zero accidents rule and track record for 20 years and counting ;)

Safety is number one for all painters who do work for

ColorScapes Painting. If you are a homeowner with a tricky

staircase or ceiling height, please leave it to an expert to

reach those areas, be safe !!!

Project was high hallway foyer, split two tone chair rail
colour scheme and we also converted a living room to a sharp
Wilton Blue from the ICI Master Palette of Colours.

Project completed in 4 days.

Quick Turnaround !

Client went for a green golf theme in his recroom -

we used two different toned greens for a golf effect.

We turned this room around in under 3 days from a

dull looking grey and added some nice Vibrance

4" baffle potlights with GU10 bulbs for a brightening

effect - they had previously two overhead builder

60 watt lights which offered poor lighting and would not

flatter any paint project.
