Custom Coffee Pod Cabinet Rails & Stiles

This is such a simple idea, we came up with it
when we noticed some of our clients have
messy Keurig boxes inside their cabinets
with pods all scattered everywhere.

Why not mount a cabinet rail.stile with
pod keepers built in on the inside
of the cabinet door.

As long as you dont have face frame
surface hinges this idea adapts
well to all Euro pocket hinge
doors. There's also no limit
to pod count on either side of the
cabinet rails.stiles ...we can do 6,8 or 12
for each size which will easily save
space inside the cabinet for other
items. You could even fill the entire
back of a cabinet door with a Keurig
Pod Rack, forget using one of these
bulky drawers, they don't fit inside
a standard 12" deep cabinet carcass.

We even put a nice 2/16" chamfer edge
on the pod stile piece to emulate
a standard maple 2.25 rail profile door.
Shown with and without 110 degree
Blum Hinge.

Cost ? Almost nothing - takes 10 minutes
on a router with a setup block for spacing.

Utility ? ....Amazing idea...i'm sure it will
get copied and as usual we will get NOTHING
from the big cabinet suppliers that serve the big
box stores who routinely take some of our ideas
and pass them off as their own....

New Maple Drawers for as little as 40.00 each !

We were asked to replace some badly water damaged
drawers in anticipation of a home staging for sale
in Oakville.

For less than 40.00 each we built 9 new Shaker
style panel drawer fronts and spray finished
in our AcromaPro lacquer finish.

Shaker is getting more and more popular
as it is a traditional smooth and modern look
and is economical in Maple hardwood.

Maple also accepts a variety of paint, lacquer
and stain finishes much better than red oak,
white oak, poplar and ash. The great thing
is there is an abundance of fine maple hardwoods
in Canada and the U.S. which makes it easy
for cabinetry providers to make a nice product.

Great thanks to Dave and Donna for project.

Great thanks to Sandi and Ken
for the project !

Current Refinishing : SW 7511 Bungalow Beige

Current project involved Timbermate Grainfill
on aged butcher block oak cabinetry that had
been vandalized by a foreclosure situation.
We assured the client we could make em'
Look like NEW with a little elbow grease
and some high end AcromaPro lacquer.

Note that a grain filler is used to prevent
open pore reveals, but you may still
see grain, which is the nature of oak, there
is NO such thing as 100% filled grain, if you
try to put too much filler on, your doors
will mudcrack as the wood moves in
spring and fall with moisture changes in
humidity. For optimum conditions in your
home we recommend 35-40% r.h. so that
ALL wood surfaces in your home do NOT
dry out. We never exceed a maximum
dry film thickness of 9 mils which is the
upper limit for most wood coatings in
a shop application.

Colour: SW 7511
Finish : AcromaPro S/G WB Precat Lacquer
320 Final pass sandback 4 coats
Grainfill: Timbermate Deluxe WB

Great thanks to Dave and Rhonda who
enjoyed a night out on us at
The Keg !

Woodcraft and Rockler...the best woodworking stores we've seen

Had a client ask me what the best woodworking
stores are in North America...hands down Woodcraft
and Rockler are a country mile better than
Lee Valley. LV is overpriced, has a Consumers
Distributing business model and doesn't
carry state of the art woodworking tools
like Woodcraft and Rockler do.

I come from a lineage of woodworking
relatives with both my grandfathers
and an uncle being cabinet makers, so
as part of keeping the tradition I like to
pass on some tips for fellow woodworkers.

It's worth the drive to Buffalo
and Rochester....lol !

2.3.15

So it's 5-10 years after finishing...Refresh and Update Programs...!!!

As many of our clients are aware we offer
an unrivaled warranty on our refinishing,
but even better we have now announced
3 programs where you can either:

1. Get all cabinetry re-sprayed and repaired
5 years after the original application for $449.00.

2. Change colour and get them resprayed
    for $649.00

3. Hardware Swap Out for New from as little
   as $250.00 !

We know people can be tough on their
cabinetry...we've seen kids with nerf
hockey nets set up in the kitchen
and of course the odd situation where
a property changes hands and the cabinetry
has been allowed to get dirty...

***These three programs are only available to existing
ColorScapes clients who are 60 months past the
original application. The tough sanding work
has already been completed and paid for.!

We know we've raised the bar on refinishing in
the Halton Region, this program goes one
step further to keep your home's cabinetry
looking great in advance of that pending staging
or chance to sell for a great profit !

Homes in Burlington and Oakville are receiving multiple
bid offers and the key to moving that property fast is
making sure the painting work is done, the cabinetry
looks great and everything is tidy !

Stay away from trendy stenciled or floraled antiquing
or glazing, it's a dated look and will cost you in resale
dollars.
