Finish the Cabinetry by Adding Riser Plate and Crown Mould
Adding a riser plate and crown
to finished cabinetry can have a
dramatic effect on adding to the
perception of size in a kitchen.
The fun part ? Ever cut 53 and 59 degree
upside down crown angles ? There
is no such thing as a perfect 45 or
90 degree angle when cabinets are
telegraphing the wall angles....they
dont make a mitre saw with stops past
45 degrees....so you have to back your
crown out from the fence to cut these
types of angles...its kinda like trimming
your beard with hedgeclippers lol...
The riser plates must also have flat
support frames to be straight and anchored
to top of cabinets.
