Mdf engineered doors for refacing are great, but they are not refinishing
friendly unfortunately, as any methylene chloride stripper goes on wet
and we know what water or liquid does to bare MDF. Even exterior
grade mdf does not hold up in our climate leading to frequent tear-out
and replacement with either stucco, hardieboard siding or aluminum.
Only solid wood doors are refinish friendly, which is a consideration
for anyone getting new cabinetry. Opt for maple, red oak, white oak
or alder.
100% of our refinishing clientele have solid wood cabinetry.!
