We've had this question posed to us a
number of times and I'll answer it again...
Lacquer resists staining,marring and discoloration
better than trim paint. It also adheres better, dries
faster, has lower voc and you can pour 180 degree
coffee on a lacquered cabinet door, allow it to dwell
overnight and it will not affect the finish or discolour.
Trim paints like Proclassic, CabinetCoat or any
baseboard paint will fail miserably when put
through normal busy kitchen cycles. The hybrid
coatings also yellow badly in 12-14 months in
off-whites. !!! Not good !!!
Lacquer must also be sprayed and handled by
trained professionals in woodworking fields,
this is not a product for, or available to a DIY'er.
Kitchen cabinet factories use waterborne lacquer
and solvent borne lacquer on all doors , not an
aftermarket baseboard trim paint.
We test every coating we apply and subject
them to a range of scrub tests, substance tests,
moisture, edge soak etc, and we have found that
AcromaPro is hands down, the best on the market,
no competitor even comes close.
