Another Staircase Refinishing Underway...
A good repeat client of ours requested a staircase
refinishing in a 13 yr old RoseHaven Custom Home
in Oakville.
While some contractors try to get by without
sanding, IT IS NECESSARY and required when
reapplying a custom stain and clearcoat. STAIN
will not BOND over Varnish or Clear Coat, it
needs to be applied directly to a bare wood
surface. Then the clear coat can be reapplied.
We also blend matched an aged bullnose
trim to a 13 year old floor...this is the great thing
about having your own UTC colorants and
tint machine in shop !
We follow all AWI Wood Refinishing Standards
so that our clients are guaranteed a great finish !
If you can't be bothered to sand each tread for
25-30 minutes then you should NOT be picking
up a paint brush or stain pad. It reminds me of
the painters who paint over dirt on exterior siding !
Are you kidding me ?
Great thanks to Franca and Angelo M. for the project.
