Why we blog our projects ?

We build our client base based on experience
and knowledge and translate this into an easily
accessible "blog" for our potential clients to review.

We do this for many reasons:

1. We care about the work we do for people
and this is our so-called "brag-bag".

2. These are real projects, real people
and real deadlines to deal with - by taking a notary
account of what was done at each job/project we
minimize confusion and learn from each job to
improve our skill set.

3. We have done so many projects over 22 years, that until
we started this blog, have limited record of the early years
before PC's and digital cameras became mainstream.

4. Our blog features real people and real projects, and our company
does not receive heavy financial backing by HGTV or HomeTime.
While we respect many of the viewpoints shared by some of the
contractors with nationally recognized names, we feel that some
of these guys are "actors" and "newbies" and were it not for
the unlimited budgets they have courtesy of the big suppliers
they could be a little more respectful of the real contractors
who quite often work 65-70hr weeks and are not shooting jobs
with a 10 person camera crew !

Vroom Under Cabinet Vacuum Systems

This is a great new product we are installing
for a client in East Oakville and has been featured
on national renovation tv programs...

Using a small form factor design with powerful
suction VROOM vacs are taking kitchen space
planning and organization to a new level...

Works with existing home central vac systems
or stand-a-lone !

Wilmington,NC Project

Client was generous enough to give us
two projects in early April, coinciding
with the best golf weather in the
Carolina's (shame on us !)

  • Lap Siding (Hardie T-111)

  • Interior NGR Spray and Wipe Stain Cabinetry

Fortunately for us, we were able to spray
SW Duration in lower temp. conditions outside
and once complete, we also custom stained and
clear coated kitchen cabinetry. Cabinets
are custom crafted by Markraft of Wilmington,NC.

Total Cost of Project: $3950.00

Great thanks to Rod B. for the project
and the opportunity to squeeze some
golf in at the tail end of the job !

East Oakville Cabinets

Easy re-spray over top of a yellowing
alkyd off-white - this kitchen had not
seen a paint brush in over 15 years and
the previous finish was quite yellowed over
time as most oil based paints have a tendency
to return to a linseed oil colour.

We shot  1 gallon of Akvatopp WB
lacquer primer and 1 gallon of Satin
Finish in Decorators White CC-20.

Turnaround time: 5 days
Hardware: Amerock Brushed Nickel
Stove Stack by Goeman's.

Rexway Hardie Siding Project

We have just completed 1900 sq ft of
CertainTeed Hardie Siding for a client
on Rexway Dr. in Burlington.

Hardie and Lap Siding is rot-proof/warp-proof
and has a nice modern look which works well
with white window trim and gables.

Notice we have applied "blueskin"

moisture guard wrap underneath the

siding to encapsulate against vapor

backpressure.

Most new fibercement siding is also very
paintable and has a pre-engineered coating
in a range of colours which is factory applied
and guaranteed to look great for 20 yrs.

Call us anytime for an installation quote
(prices range from 4.00 to 7.00 per ft installed).

Total Project Cost: $ 9880.00

Great thanks to Dana and Tim for the project .
