15.6.16

Client Bookings Available for August,Sept,Oct 2016..some sage advice...

We are currently booking projects August 15th forward
with the exception of small one's and two's of custom
fridge and pantry cabinets and small built-ins and islands.

Any large custom manufactured cabinet projects we
generally refer to Silhouette Custom (Hamilton) or
Sherwood Cabinetry in Mississauga. Both have
CNC Thermwood CS-43 capabilities and can
turn projects much faster than Kraft(Krap Maid)
or any big box solution. I'm puzzled when I hear
of people waiting 16 weeks for Kraft Maid or Schuler
cabinets at Depot or Slowe's.  Stay local, you'll be
blown away by the timeliness of service and quality.
How the heck can anyone stage and sell a home to
maximum market value when forced to wait 16 weeks
for cabinets to be made at a huge impersonal factory
in Winnipeg ? Ridiculous and unacceptable in our
opinion, but Masterbrand has been pulling this crap
with people in Home Depot and Lowe's for years.

A word of sage advice, once you pre-pay your
cabinet order there, they couldn't give a rats
butt if you need to meet a renovation deadline.
Seen it happen to very nice people and clients
and it has to stop at some point you would think ?
If you also think these Big Box stores really care
about your kitchen order, you're sadly mistaken
as they are "trying to achieve highest margin,
staggered and delayed install times", as their
fall down point is recommending an installer
which usually comes in the form of a workday
temp or in one client's case we know of, a high-school
kid with experience cutting lawns and building
picnic benches for Lowe's. Are you kidding me ?
Masterbrand and Elkay have bastardized the cabinetry
market at these big box stores in their continual
attempts at economies of scale in production.
No one cares if you have 5-10 lines of production
producing 1,000 cabinet doors a day if you
can't even get 20 doors right for a small galley
kitchen for a retiree on a fixed pension. We have
seen the shipments originating from these
"production " cabinet companies and I can
tell you from personal experience it's not
a good way to go when renovating a kitchen.
